Hickory Ridge Golf Club Names John Riordan, New Head Golf Professional

Hickory Ridge Golf Club is pleased to announce the hiring of local PGA Professional, John Riordan as the Club’s new Head Professional. John recently was the Head Golf Professional at Wampanoag Country Club in West Hartford, Connecticut. Prior to this position, John worked at The Country Club of Farmington. Hartford Golf Club, Springfield Country Club and Longmeadow Country Club. John most recently was a Teaching Professional and Certified Club Fitter at Dave DiRico’s Golf Center in Springfield.

John is a graduate of the University of Arizona where he was a member of the school’s Division 1 golf team. He earned his PGA credentials in 1986 and has been a longstanding member since. His family includes his wife Karin, son Parker, a member of the Division 1 Golf Team at Fairfield University and daughter Cameron.

John is acknowledged throughout the New England golf community as an excellent teacher and an accomplished Club Fitter as well as an outstanding organizer of tournaments and leagues. He is anxious to meet and establish a relationship with the membership of Hickory Ridge and looks forward to his new position as Head Golf Professional.
